Editorial Executive - FIRST SELECT - Abu Dhabi

Job Description
Our client, one of the leading money exchange companies in the Middle East is currently in need of Editorial Executive. They are looking for a talented and experienced writer / editor to help create and disseminate standard corporate messages across the organization and its stakeholders. The Editorial Executive will be working within the Corporate Communications Department, writing for a number of different publications that the company produces. It is essential that the candidate has experience of writing quick, concise and precise articles on turnkey projects. He/she should be able to handle the entire communications management needs of the company which include marketing collaterals, profiles, interviews/questionnaires, press releases, newsletters, in-house magazine, documentations, grassroots PR, and other ad hoc requirements. A major responsibility would be content development/ monitoring/ maintaining of online resources of the company by coordinating with the web team. H/she will be responsible for meeting objectively the information need of various departments and associates of the company, which would assist them in their functioning and to develop intellectual properties with regard to various campaigns/ promotions of the company. Also, duties would include to proof and to sub edit your own copy, to keep track of various mass media vehicles; collate, disseminate and to record information pertaining to industry information, in all those subjects which will be of interest to the company and its stakeholders. Ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of progressive work experience in corporate communications / PR / copywriting / journalism in a demanding environment. Proven skills in writing, content creation, editing, oration and presentation with sound understanding of internet technologies, including search engines for information sourcing. Should possess the ability to communicate at all levels, have a flexible approach and be able to work as part of a strong team. Should have good people-management skills, and should be self-driven. We are looking for someone who is creative, having an eye for detail, and a self starter. Ability to work under pressure and against strict timelines would be a pre-requisite. The person should be able to be an active part of a fast-paced multi-cultural environment and should be able to demonstrate abilities in prioritizing and managing multiple projects. At least, a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication / Journalism / Literature. Post Graduation and/or experience in the financial sector would be an advantage.
