JOB DESCRIPTION Position / Job Title Engineering Manager Department O & G Fabrication- Engineering Location Abu Dhabi Reporting to O & G Fabrication- Operations Manager Direct reports Design Engineers- , Draughtsman Indirect reports Document controllers Works with Operations team, Support functions, Clients Key Responsibilities : • Leading a team of design engineers and draughtsman in proper execution of engineering related activities in a EPC set-up. • Detailed Engineering of multi-disciplinary mechanical equipments & structures. • Involved in detailed design calculations, preparation of engineering data sheets & specifications, shop fabrication drawings and trouble shooting of design problems resulting from shop and field capabilities. • Pre-award activities such as preliminary design, preparation of tender drawings and material take-offs, cost estimation of material, plant & preliminaries, collaborating with commercial / procurement in preparation of quotation, material sourcing & vendor development. Key Performance Indicators : • Resource optimization, Minimize rework ( rework %age ) norms, reduction in shop queries & in turn reduction in loss of direct man-hours, • Time bound engineering deliverables to clients, accuracy in material requirement estimates to procurement. • Training Man days / succession planning. Person Profile Age 35 - 45 years of age Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Skills • Fully conversant with International codes like ASME, PD 500, TEMA, API, BS, NACE, ANSI, AWWA D - 100. • Hands on experience with design handbooks. • Experience in related designing packages and softwares.
