Engineering Manager - PROSEARCH - DUBAI

Job Description

Reporting to: General Manager Roles & Responsibilities:- 1. Engineering Manager for company Business Unit (ME BU) Engineering Department; will liaise with the Projects Manager to support the implementation of all Projects and Proposals work of the Middle East BU. 2. Technical Authority for the company across the Electrical, Instrument and Control Systems disciplines, and for all Engineering Projects and Services. 3. Oversee the day to day running of the Engineering department. Establish key objectives, performance targets and schedules for the department and monitor progress against these criteria. 4. Implement and maintain suitable systems and processes to ensure proper discipline and methodology is applied to the following areas as a minimum: a. Document control b. Engineering reviews c. CAD design d. Implementation of engineering standards e. Preparation of proposals and bids 5. Formulate and implement a Business Plan for the Engineering Department, incorporating marketing strategies to boost sales in line with the corporate objectives of the company Group. 6. Instill safe working practices, the production of quality deliverables and effective productivity to the workforce. Develop, implement & monitor a quality awareness program among the workforce. Oversee quality assurance audit programmes. 7. Assist the General Manager by providing regular reporting of the department’s performance and conducting business and market analysis (including financial performance) in order to consolidate core business and to develop new business opportunities. 8. Oversee the resource requirements and organizational set-up of the Engineering department, including the provision of appropriate staffing to meet the prevailing project schedules. Implement a staff training programme to ensure that all staff are suitably trained and competent to work in their assigned disciplines and grade levels, and are kept abreast of technology, equipment and market trends and developments. 9. Coordinate with the company Operations Manager and ME BU Projects Manager to provide post Projects delivery on-going life-cycle support as required within the company group for the effective completion of all projects undertaken by the group. Qualifications:- Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Instrumentation) Experience:- Minimum 15 years of experience with an EPC contractor / and oil and gas company in the engineering department, heading major projects of oil and gas Brownfield / green field works
