Sr- Construction Manager - FLUOR MIDEAST - Abu Dhabi

Job Description
We currently seek a high calibre Sr. Construction Manager to work on a direct basis. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will be working for one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement and construction companies to the Builings & Infrastructure industry. You will have knowledge and/or experience of the following: • The position requires significant experience on larger-scale healthcare projects utilitizing western materials and methods. A blend of GC and program management experience is preferred. International project experience is mandatory and MENA Region experience is preferred. You must have experience of: • Working for an EPC company, preferably in the Middle East • Performs on-site management, supervision and coordination of all General Contractor and subcontracted work • Monitors field construction activities in conformance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, procedures, quality requirements and safety standards • Monitors project schedule and cost through the efficient use of all construction resources including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment • Provides input for the development of project schedules in cooperation with the construction engineers and planners • Ensures that daily and weekly short-range planning is maintained down to the foreman level • Reviews design scope and approach with regard to constructability and submits recommendations for change • Controls change/ scope creep, ensuring that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented and that change orders are approved prior to the performance of work • Implements the site safety and security procedures and project work rules • Plays an active role in the development of the safety culture on the project, making safety a natural part of all work performed • Manages the contractual commitments of contractors, including cost, quality, and schedule and coordinates their field activities • Monitors effective construction equipment use and maintenance program • Monitors quality of all work in accordance with the standards as specified in the design documents • Monitors an effective plan for the supply and control of tools and supplies Qualifications: • Degreed
