Job Description
Responsible for the production of all necessary shop drawings of site and plant/factory Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Creative problem solving skills 2. Attending client/consultant meetings with the structural engineers. 3. Review of the project requirements prior to the production of any shop drawings. 4. Review all drawings and general details in accordance with the client specifications and relevant standards and / or codes of practice. 5. Checking work for completeness and accuracy. Ie reviews engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. 6. Maintains project budget 7. Supervision of Revising any amendments/revisions to shop drawings 8. Ensure Completion of work within the planned allocated duration’s and Keeps the deadline as set in the project schedule. 9. Responsible for completing any work specified by the senior structural engineer 10. Transforms initial rough product designs into working documents on the AutoCAD program 11. Workload includes a number of medium & large sized projects in RC, steelwork and load-bearing masonry/precast concrete with an emphasis on residential/commercial developments. 12. Handles the preparation of drawings both at the time of tender (for presentation purposes) and once the order is confirmed and placed. 13. Interacts closely with the Structural Engineer and Chief Structural Engineer to ensure accurate and correct drawings. 14. Co-ordination at the interface between Production and Erection. 15. Ensure that actual design is in the line what was tendered and in case of variations has to bring it to the attention of the Structural Engineer. 16. Ability to maintain the printers, plotters and graphics tools 17. Have strong knowledge of engineering tools and consumables 18. Prepare weekly/monthly budget on consumables and submit to the Senior Structural Engineer 19. Submit to the Senior Engineer on a daily/weekly basis the following reports: • A list of the daily consumption of consumables • List of completed drawings • The approximate figure of man-hours spent per job on a weekly basis. 20. Ensure the company Quality Management system is adhered to in accordance with specified requirements 21. Responsible for follow-up of daily scheduled program 22. Ensure of follow-up of strict safety procedures at plant/factory 23. Keep update records and proper filing. 24. Ensure licenses of software tools are valid 25. Familiar with connection details for precast
Profile
1. Good Experience in computer skills 2. Experience in engineering tools and graphic tools like Autocad ( latest versions ) , 3D Modeling, Autodesk Building Services, etc 3. RC detailing software would be an advantage 4. Good Experience In areas of production and erection works especially of the precast products 5. Skills in Drawing / Designing / Calculating / checking specifications & drawings / Collecting Information 6. Knowledge of international standards such ACI, PCI, BSI, ASTM and local regulations 7. Creative problem solving skills 8. Experience in MS Project software 9. Excellent Skills in Administrating / Communication / Analyzing / Integrating / Interpreting 10. Excellent leadership qualities and commanding power 5 to 8 Years in precast industry Diploma in Civil or 2 years Draftsman course with AutoCAD Certificate Of Vocational Training Centre In Same Field
