Our client is a growing events management firm with a strong reputation for quality within the UAE. With offices globally, they are successfully expanding their business and require a Quantity Surveyor with experience in Events & Exhibitions to complement their projects. You will source, qualify, negotiate and agree contract terms & conditions for high value products & services, focusing on value for money, best payment & delivery terms. You will lead market analysis research and provide expertise in supplier management, negotiation, facilitation and contract management. You will also advise the Operations team and associated teams on best practice whilst ensuring that pre-determined gross margins are at all times met. Other duties include preparation of purchase requisitions, ensuring completeness & accuracy of account numbers as well as seeking appropriate authorizations.
Profile
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years purchasing experience in the UAE, ideally in events, exhibitions or advertising and should have a wide network of suppliers within the region. Strong negotiation skills, coupled with planning and organization skills is required. You should be proficient in MS software including Word, Excel & Power Point. Candidates must have expert level written & spoken English and ideally have spoken Arabic, Hindi, Urdu and/or Bengali.
