Mechanical Skills Trainer - Abu Dhabi

Position Description:
Responsible for providing education and hands-on training to mechanical technicians and engineers on power and desalination plant equipment. Serve as an Instructor in the following areas, heat exchangers, auxiliary mechanical plant, compressors, mechanical maintenance workshops, etc. Applicants should have a thorough knowledge of pump maintenance (small and large, single and multistage centrifugal, screw etc.), valve maintenance (globe, wedge, relief, butterfly etc.) and alignment of couplings. Knowledge of gas and steam turbines would be an advantage but is not essential. General Criteria of Selection: 1. The candidate should have a graduate degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline. 2. Minimum experience of 8-year for graduates or 12-year for diploma holders in a relevant engineering subject. Preferably some experience in a training environment. 3. Ability to teach the required skills to technicians and engineers. 4. Ability to develop training manuals and have excellent communication skills in English. 5. Flexibility to train in the class-room and on-the-job training. 6. Flexibility to work to any work schedule.
