Job Description
Key basic function and scope include: Oversee the interface coordination team and helps to indentify, document, and resolve interface activities of the project team between other EPC Contractors during the detailed engineering, fabrication, and commissioning. Key responsibilities of this position include: Assist to indentify, document, and resolve interface activities of the project team between other EPC Contractors during the detailed engineering, fabrication, and commissioning. Support the Change Manager in resolving all interfaces between EPC Contractors. Status interface activities between the differnet EPC Contractors to ensure that all interface related requirements are met during detailed engineering and according to the Project milestone schedule and completion priorities. Ensure that data in entered into the interface tracking system and that the contractors use the system to help communicate infromation between each other. Assist in documenting that all critial interface issues, studies, dynamic simulations, and analysis between the EPC Contractors occurr as defined by COMPANY. Work closely with EPC Contractors, company engineers and operations representatives to ensure that effective communication occurs to reslove interface issues. Work closely with other PMT Interface Engineers, the Change Manager and other PMT staff in the EPC Contractors offices regarding interface definition and resolution. Activities include: ensure drawings are up to date, interface datasheets are correct, Management of Change is being followed, and that all interface points get resolved between EPC Contractors. Assist in providing interface information between EPC Contractors to insure that they coordinate their scheduling, engineering, procurement, and construction between each other. Attend weekly teleconference meetings between EPC Contractors and resolve interface issues and ensure meeting notes are issued properly. Identify and report potential scope changes that may result from interface issues. Monitor project design and procurement activities to identify and alert of possible problems where interfaces might affect the schedule or budgets. Assist in preparing Management of Change requests for the Change Manager for all interfaces that don’t match the FEED effort. Prepare weekly and monthly reports on the progress of interface activities of the EPC Contractor at the site. Run LiveLink reports on the interface acitivities of the EPC Contractor at the site.
Profile
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university. 10 years post graduate experience in design & development of capital projects in the oil/gas industry. Work effectively with peers in a multi-disciplinary environment. Good command of written and spoken English Thorough knowledge of control systems, safety shutdown systems and fire & gas detection systems generally incorporated in major oil /gas project is essential.
