Job Description

The QA Engineer is functionally responsible to the Contract Manager/ Senior Project Engineer/Project Engineer as appropriate and technically responsible to the Corporate QA Manager. *To maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 *To report on the performance of the quality system by identifying problems affecting quality and determining the root cause(s). *To demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills within the Company and with Client(s). *To ensure staff are familiar with the requirements of, and have access to, the procedures comprising the QMS. *To operate and take part in an internal QA audit program. *To provide project support to Project Engineers where required. *To produce project quality documentation, (Quality Plans and QC Plans) *To promote quality principles, concepts and awareness via presentation style workshops, within in a multi-national environment. *To perform all work in a safe manner, to contribute to a safe work environment plus assuming responsibility for ensuring a safe workplace and encouraging safe work practices. *To provide and promote effective communications throughout the Organization¡¦s office and to promote the interchange of information between all staff.

Profile

*Must have a minimum of 5 years engineering experience and developed a recognized career path in the oil and gas sector (however construction and/or petrochemical may also be acceptable), of which a minimum of 6 years full time experience in a QA engineer position. * Must be experienced QA Auditor. *Must have experience of working within an ISO 9001 quality assurance environment in a design office *Must be proficient in written and spoken English and PC literate (MS Office applications and Lotus Notes). *Must be capable of writing technical reports. *Must be proficient in interpretation and application of ISO 9001 in a design office environment. *Must be able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility both as an individual and as a strong team player, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills and assertiveness.
